Just in time for National Women’s Health Week, our friend, Alexis Jones, Founder of I AM THAT GIRL, was featured on Huffington Post’s “Becoming Fearless” series on May 17, 2012.

I AM THAT GIRL, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization that is dedicated to female empowerment, announces the unveiling of a powerful video montage spotlighting its “That Girl Rocks” campaign with shout-outs from celeb supporters like Kate BosworthSophia BushKate Voegele and many others. The campaign aims to counter the proliferation of negativity targeted at girls in the media. Viewers are asked to join the movement by sharing their own video, photo or words about a girl who has positively influenced their life.

Knowing how much girls are affected by unhealthy media, I AM THAT GIRL and the campaign sponsor, Summer’s Eve, are filling a void by inspiring girls through positive messaging and creating a supportive community.

The first 1,000 people to submit their own “That Girl Rocks” video via I AM THAT GIRL’s campaign website will be entered into a drawing to win a set of JewelMint Friendship Bracelets designed by actress and campaign ambassador, Kate Bosworth. The bracelets, each color symbolizing a different meaning are meant to share with friends and keep one for yourself recognizing that we admire in others already exists within us.
